In what way can you say that his wooden house is eco friendly? Anyway, I love the exterior design of his houses it reminds me of a wooden house in the middle of a forest.

In what way is it eco friendly? Really?
1.Constructed from a sustainably managed renewable resource
2. Completely off-grid
3. Grey water.
4. Heavily insulated with recycled bio friendly insulation
5. Very low..less than 3kwh per day power consumption
6. Recycled PV panels
7. No use of toxic paint or sealant

I could go on, but maybe you ought to just watch the video.

Bales? Really?
This must be built in an area where there are no storms, is it?
Or haven't they read the story of the Three little pigs? :))

Can they hang a painting on the walls?

Fantastic. I'm so pleased he's achieved his goal without rigid council rules prohibiting him too much. Good job Ben!
